High intensity, fast paced action, and two butt kicking characters that can take a lickin' but keep on kickin'! I thought the plot was original and really interesting to read about! I've never read a retelling of Spartacus before but I loved it!! I thought the characters had depth and personality. If Attia is fire then Xanthus is ice. Perfect for each other and perfectly deadly. I thought their romance moved a little fast and it wasn't a very smooth transition. However, I highly recommend this book to everyone! I can't wait for Fire and Ash in 2019!!
